Roberta Donato is a researcher at the University of Coimbra Institute of Legal Research (UCILeR) with a scholarship granted to work for the MediMARE Program. She is a PhD candidate in Business Law at the University of Coimbra and holds an LL.M in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University, a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Ohio University, a Legal Degree from Faculdade de Direito Milton Campos, and, a Business Degree with emphasis in Foreign Trade from Centro Universitário Una. In her previous experiences, Roberta worked as a lawyer in international business transactions (admitted to practice law in Brazil and in the State of New York, USA), as Professor of International Law, Private International Law and International Business (having taught a brief online course on Maritime Law), and at Centro Universitário Una (Brazil) as Director of the Law Course and Legal Clinic, where Roberta established an agreement with the Tribunal de Justiça of Minas Gerais to have pre-judicial conciliations happen at the Legal Clinic.
